Brussels, Belgium – The European Armenian Federation for Justice and Democracy (EAFJD) is pleased to announce its Youth Leadership Workshop titled “Advocacy in the European Union” taking place in Brussels, Belgium, from April 21-25. This unique training program offers young European Armenians an intensive five-day experience-based workshop focused on European politics and the advancement of Armenian interests in Europe.

Designed for students aged 22-32 residing in Europe who speak both Armenian and English and possess a strong interest in European politics and the advancement of Armenian interests, the program provides a rigorous curriculum combining lectures, high-level political meetings, and visits to key European institutions.

This year’s program is centered on two crucial avenues: understanding how advocacy works within the EU framework and gaining firsthand knowledge of the institutional, bureaucratic, and inner workings of EU organs. Participants will learn practical advocacy skills while gaining a deeper understanding of how decisions are made within the EU and how advocacy groups like the EAFJD harness these institutional tools to advance the interest of the Armenian people.

The program’s agenda covers a wide range of topics, including:

  • Functions of the European Union
  • European Political Life
  • Priorities of the Armenian Cause
  • RA-EU Relations
  • RA-NATO Relations
  • RA-Belgium Relations
  • EU Positions on the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict
  • Defense of Armenian interests in Europe
  • Armenian Diaspora of Belgium
  • Career opportunities for youth in Pan-European leadership structures and community life

Participants will have the opportunity to visit and meet with representatives at the European Parliament, NATO headquarters, the Republic of Armenia’s Mission to the European Union, community organizations, and other relevant institutions.

“This program is a fantastic opportunity for young European Armenians. We believe in empowering the next generation of leaders and providing them with the tools and knowledge they need to make a difference.”- EAFJD President Kaspar Karampetian.

To participate, applicants must submit the following via the online submission form a CV, a motivational letter and enrollment document or diploma confirming student status
