The Syrian Armenian newspaper Kantsasar has reported that two Armenians were killed in Latakia.
Yesterday, at the entrance of Latakia, a father and son, Antoine and Fadi Boutros, were shot and killed. Their funeral will take place today at the St. Astvatsatsin Church in Latakia.
Kantsasar has also reported that gunfire continued in Latakia overnight.
Their correspondent in Latakia stated that the city was calm during the day yesterday. However, tensions reignited late at night, with gunfire exchanged between opposing sides near Armenian neighborhoods until morning.
Community institutions remain closed.
Residents have stayed indoors all day.
Electricity and internet services have been cut off in the city, and water supply is intermittent.
