This week, the European Union paid a €1.5 million grant to the Armenian government, the EU Delegation to Armenia announced in a Facebook post on 10 December.
This new funding is provided in addition to €13.5 million already disbursed in September.
The financial support is granted as part of the ‘State and Resilience Building Contract for the Republic of Armenia’ initiative.
This budget support programme aims to assist the government of Armenia in meeting the short- and medium-term needs of Karabakh Armenians. It also ensures their long-term socio-economic integration, including into the Armenian systems of education, social protection, health care, and the labour market.
