2025 marks the forty years of the Summer Intensive Course of Armenian Language and Culture,
organized by the cultural Association Padus-Araxes every year in August, starting from 1986 under the
auspices of Ca’ Foscari University Venice till 2015, and thereafter with the assistance of the Marcianum
Institute of the Patriarchate of Venice.
During the Course of August 2025, the forty years of activity (in 2020 the Course did not take place
because of Covid) will be commemorated with academic celebrations, on August 14 having as a key-note
speaker, in English, Prof. Theo van Lindt from Oxford, and on August 16 having as a key-note speaker Prof.
Suren Danielyan from Yerevan. A duduk recital by M° Aram Ipekdjian will accompany the events.
All friends and sympathizers of Padus-Araxes, all participants in the Course of past years and
collaborators, all who have at heart Armenian language and culture, are kindly invited to honour the
celebrations.
