Parliamentarians, representatives from most organisations and members of the Armenian community gathered at The Dilly Hotel on May 12 for the sold-out Armenian National Committee of the United Kingdom Gala 2026, held in honour of Baroness Caroline Cox and her extraordinary lifetime of service to Artsakh and the Armenian Cause.
The evening brought together friends and supporters of ANC-UK for a heartfelt tribute to Baroness Cox’s decades of humanitarian work and steadfast advocacy for Artsakh and the Armenian people. Guests heard from Armen Bodossian, who spoke about the work of ANC-UK and the APPG for Armenia, before a special award was presented to Lord Alton and Sam Mason of HART by the Chairperson of the ANC-UK, Annette Moskofian, who accepted the award on behalf of Baroness Cox.
Hosted by Master of Ceremonies Kev Orkian, the gala combined reflection, celebration and community spirit. Kev Orkian also entertained guests throughout the evening and led a lively auction that raised vital funds in support of ANC-UK’s work.
Opening remarks were delivered by Raffi Killian, followed by a beautiful performance from the Akhtamar Armenian Dance Group.
His Grace Bishop Hovakim Manukyan offered prayers and praised ANC-UK’s ongoing efforts, while guests enjoyed dinner in a warm atmosphere. Dr Garo Arevian later spoke about Baroness Cox’s remarkable work, and Seda Ambartsoumian delivered a moving tribute to her lifetime of service, accompanied by the screening of a short film highlighting her commitment to Artsakh and the Armenian Cause.
Jessica Morden MP reflected on the importance of the Armenian Cause, the plight Armenians of Artsakh, and the need for recognition of the Armenian Genocide, while also paying tribute to Baroness Cox’s unwavering dedication.
The evening concluded with dancing, as DJ Bandy filled the room with Armenian and international music.
