On 7 May,  Natia Natsvlishvili, the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Resident Representative in Armenia visited several sites of the ‘EULEAD4Lori and Tavush regions’ project.

Natia Natsvlishvili was introduced to the operations of a multifunctional flour mill established with the support of the Lorva Dzor Local Action Group (LAG) and implemented by the Vahagni Foundation. With a capacity of 350 kg per hour, the mill has contributed to doubling wheat cultivation in the area and now supplies fresh flour to local bakeries and confectioneries.

Natsvlishvili also viewed a vehicle-mounted lift, provided through LAG support, which facilitates essential services such as streetlight maintenance across Pambak and nearby communities.

Another highlight of the visit was the newly established bakery in the village of Debed. Supported by a seed grant from the LAG and beneficiary co-financing, the facility was renovated and equipped with professional bread-making tools. As a result, daily bread production has increased from 75 to 350 items, ensuring a steady supply for Debed and neighboring villages.

The ‘EU Local Empowerment of Actors for Development in Lori and Tavush regions’ project (EULEAD4Lori and Tavush Regions)   project is funded by the European Union and implemented by the UNDP, in partnership with the UN Food and Agriculture Organization and in close collaboration with the Armenian Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure.
