
On 11 December, the opening ceremony of ‘Tsili Tsov’ Local Action Group (LAG) office was held in Tavush settlement of the Tavush region of Armenia.
‘Tsili Tsov’ LAG is one of the eight Local Action Groups created in Armenia by the EU LEADER community development methodology, established in July 2022 as part of the EU-LEAD4Lori and Tavush Regions project. These LAGs include ten rural and one urban settlement of Berd community of Tavush region with a population of about 20,000.

Under the guidance of international and national experts, the LAG developed a strategic development plan based on its development priorities, several dozens of capacity development trainings were conducted for LAG members, and study tours were organised to a number of EU and EaP countries implementing LEADER methodology.
Recently, the LAG funded around 19 grant projects aimed at the development of innovative agriculture, tourism, women and youth empowerment in the LAG territory.
Three more grant cycles are envisioned to continue the social and economic development of the Berd community.
