Yerevan, Armenia – On July 17, 18, and 19, Zakyan Street in Yerevan will host the 5th anniversary edition of Beer Days festival. This year’s program puts the spotlight on craft beer discoveries, interactive games, the popular Steinholding competition, a wide selection of local and international beers, delicious snacks, and a unique opportunity to take photos with Xenophon.

This year, Beer Days 2026 invites visitors to join Craft Beer Quest, a craft beer hunt designed to help guests discover the newest expressions of Armenian brewing, the character of small producers, distinctive flavors, and limited releases. Festival participants will move through the brewers’ pavilions, taste different beers, collect stamps in their Coach Book, and take part in prize draws. The more discoveries they make, the more stamps they collect, and the more stamps they have, the greater their chances of winning gifts provided by the festival partners.

One of the most anticipated highlights of the festival will be the Steinholding competition, one of the most popular and visually engaging beer competitions, held on the main stage. Participants will have to hold heavy beer steins with straight arms for as long as possible, testing their strength, endurance, balance, and willpower. The winners will receive valuable gifts from partner companies.

Over the course of three days, the festival area will also feature game pavilions, ensuring constant activity, a competitive atmosphere, and plenty of entertainment. Visitors will be able to take part in more than 10 recreational, sports, and intellectual games, including Beer Pong, table football, mini basketball, darts, Subsoccer, and other activities. After each game, participants will receive a stamp in their Coach Book, and the collected stamps will increase their chances of winning prizes. Around 3,000 gifts are planned to be awarded through the festival’s games.

The entire experience will be complemented by some of the best local and international beers, as well as delicious snacks paired with beer. The festival’s beer and food pavilions will feature classic and craft beer styles, new releases from Armenian producers, imported beers, and dishes from Armenian, European, and Eastern cuisines.

One of the festival’s special characters will be Xenophon. As early as the 5th century BC, the Greek historian Xenophon, while passing through the Armenian Highlands, described a barley-based drink in his work Anabasis. This account is considered one of the earliest written references to beer on Armenian land. From July 17 to 19, visitors will be able to meet a modern-day Xenophon, take photos with him, and feel the historical spirit of brewing within the festival atmosphere.

During the three festival days, the main stage will also host a grand prize draw featuring more than 200 valuable gifts. To participate in the draw, visitors must have the raffle coupon included in the Beer Tasting Package.

Entrance to the festival is free. To take part in tastings, Craft Beer Quest, games, and the grand prize draw, visitors need to purchase the Beer Tasting Package.

Held since 2021, Beer Days has become one of Yerevan’s most anticipated summer events. In 2025, the festival welcomed around 50,000 visitors over three days, with tourists making up approximately 30% of attendance. In 2026, the festival returns in an anniversary format, with broader participation, new games, and a dedicated program for discovering craft beer.
