Franco-Armenian singer, composer and producer Esai Altounian Essaï Altounian
Officially became a knavalier of the French Order of Arts and Literature (Ordre des Arts et des Lettres).
This is a prestigious award from the French Ministry of Culture, which is given for outstanding contribution to the development of art and literature in France and around the world.
Esai Altunyan is a French singer, composer, music producer and arranger of Armenian descent. He is a member of the Genealogy group, which represented Armenia at the Eurovision 2015 International Song Contest.
His compositions often trace motives of Armenian culture and history. For example, his personal song “Je n’oublie pas” (I do not forget) is dedicated to the memory of the victims of the Genocide.
