A formal presentation of China’s Belt and Road Initiative in Eurasia: A Routledge Handbook, co-edited by Dr. Mher D. Sahakyan, was held at CEVRO University in Prague. The book, published by Routledge, brings together scholars from 24 countries to examine Eurasia’s geopolitical and geoeconomic developments.
The preparation of the volume involved scholars from CEVRO University, including Dr. Jan Železný, Director of the Center for Asia-Pacific Studies and organizer of the book presentation, and Dr. Zdeněk Rod, a researcher at the university.

During the event, Dr. Mher D. Sahakyan delivered the keynote address. He presented the formation process of “Multipolar World Order 2.0” and its impact on Europe and Asia. He stressed that intense geopolitical, geoeconomic, and technological competition drives these systemic transformations across Eurasia. He also highlighted the significance of political developments in the post-Soviet Eurasia for the continent. Dr. Jan Železný discussed Sino-Russian cooperation in the space sector and its impact on the Global South. Dr. Zdeněk Rod addressed the Belt and Road Initiative in Central and Eastern Europe, underscoring its economic and political implications.
The event drew academics, experts, diplomats, officials, and students from the Czech Republic, Armenia, and other countries. The outcome was a lively discussion after the presentations, which confirmed the book’s timeliness and strong international interest.
