On 4 July, the Kapan International Music Festival kicked off in Armenia with EU support, running until 15 July.

Kapan, the capital of Armenia’s south, arranges various cultural events every year. The festival hosts more than 30 renowned soloists, the Armenian State Symphony Orchestra, talented youth from various music schools across Armenia and chamber music ensembles.

“Quality culture for all – that’s what the Kapan International Festival is all about. Culture beyond borders unites, federates and brings peoples and communities closer together,” said Vassilis Maragos, EU Ambassador to Armenia. “This support is part of the new Team Europe approach, which involves the EU member states, the EUNIC network – EU National Institutes for Culture – and the EU Delegation and is linked to our support for Resilient Syunik and for Armenian resilience.”
