The EU4Armenia website has published a step-by-step Schengen visa guide for Armenian citizens

The guide is available in both English and Armenian.

Published along with instructional videos, it is designed to guide Armenian citizens through the application process and help them avoid common mistakes in navigating their application.

The guide is designed by the International Centre for Migration Policy Development (ICMPD) office in Armenia with financial support from the European Union.

The Schengen Area operates as a unified travel zone, eliminating internal border controls between member states. Once a traveler legally enters the region, they can travel freely across participating European countries without facing additional passport checks. For non-EU citizens, access is managed through standardised travel regulations. A standard Schengen Visa grants eligible visitors entry for short-term stays of up to 90 days within any 180-day window. At present, Armenia is not covered by an EU visa-waiver agreement, therefore, Armenian citizens must secure a valid Schengen Visa prior to traveling.
