Vienna, March 30, 2018. The 23rd Euro Armenian Games /EAG held this year in Vienna will take place from March 30 to April 2. Around 750 sportsmen from 15 European countries – Holland, France, Germany, Belgium, Czech Republic, Russia, Norway, Georgia, England, Italy, Switzerland, United Arab Emirates, Turkey, Armenia, Austria – participated in the tournament drawing this evening.
Sportsmen from the USA have also arrived in Vienna to join their fellow-sportsmen in the Games. The official opening ceremony is to be held on March 31. The athletes will compete in sports such as basketball, volleyball, badminton, indoor football, table tennis, backgammon and chess.
This year the Armenians of Europe will jointly celebrate the Easter Sunday in the Viennese St. Hripsime and Mekhitarist Armenian churches.
