REQUIEM – Human Image in the Work of Archi Galentz

Tuesday 8th of August at 7pm


The opening will take place in the gallery of daily newspaper publisher “junge Welt”

Address: Torstraße 6, 10119 Berlin (in the Mitte neighborhood of Berlin).


The director of the gallery, Mr. Michael Mäde, and the art historian, Dr. Peter Michel, will introduce the exhibition.

Archi Galentz was born in 1971 in Moscow, in a family of Armenian artists. He studied visual art at the University of Art of Berlin (HdK Berlin). He lives and works mainly in the same city, where he runs his own project space.


The personal exhibition of Archi Galentz in the gallery of “junge Welt” will present more than 50 works selected with emphasis on portraiture. The works were produced between 1993 and 2017 and represent a rich variety of formats and techniques. Printed graphics and drawings will be presented together with oil paintings. This is a second exhibition to be supervised by Dr. Peter Michel.

A 24-page color catalogue with numerous reproductions is offered during the opening. And it will be possible to acquire a limited edition etching  “Posthumous Mask”. Printed personally by the artist.


The exhibit will be open until 5th of October, 2017.

The gallery is open from Monday to Thursday, 11am. to 6pm.

and Friday from 10am to 2pm. Entrance is free.
