BRNO.- From 1st of December 2013, the first unique chess kindergarten in Brno will open its doors to children in the Czech Republic. The idea about such a school is an Armenian one, as Lilit Hovsepian, who is an employee of IBM, had been thinking about such a school for years and now it will become a reality. The Kindergarten is likely to become one of the most popular institutions in Brno with its beautiful and comfortable interior, quaint chessboards for kids, garden and various programmes it will offer. Besides chess and the Czech Language, children will have the possibility to learn the Armenian, English and Russian languages. Worthy of mentioning is Mrs. Hovsepian’s 10-year-old son, Ara Martirosyan, who won second place in the Chess Competition of the Czech Republic, just behind first place after additional calculations. At the 34th International Chess Tournament of young talents in Frydek Mistek, Ara also won second place in the category of 12-year-olds.
